- PuTTY. An ssh client for windows.
- Solid Edge. Open source 3D CAD software
- Xming. For use in conjunction with PuTTY to enable window forward.
- WinSCP. Client for copying files from a linux machine to a windows machine. Very quick and easy to use.
- Texmaker. My personal favorite LaTeX frontend.
- MiKTeX. My LaTeX backend of choice.
- VirtualBox. A solid choice for running virtual environments on windows.
- VCV Rack. A very good, open source modular synthesizer emulator.
- Dexed. A VST emulator of the legendary Yamaha DX7 synthesizer.
- Synth1 A VST emulator of the legendary Nord Lead 2 synthesizer.
- w3 Schools. Teaches a panoply of coding languages for free including html, css, java, and javascript.
